Pockie Ninja Special Skills & Techniques Details Revealed

The way of the ninja is often as treacherous as it is adventurous; good job, then, that NGames have just confirmed a huge selection of special skills and battle techniques for their anime-inspired MMO, Pockie Ninja. Publisher NGames have released more details for their upcoming browser-based brawler, this time detailing the fifty special skills and “hidden ninjutsu” techniques players can use in combat.

Staying true to the game's heavy focus on customisation, Pockie Ninja players will be able to mix and match a wide variety of skills from ten different categories before they enter battle, allowing them to build a ninja that both kicks ass and completely suits their style of play. Pockie Ninja's fifty battle skills are each divided into ten different categories: fire, water, earth, lightning, wind, body technique, ninja tool, sealing technique, illusionary technique, and healing.

With each skill offering unique combat perks and benefits, players can build and constantly tweak their own personal repertoire of explosive techniques, customising it before, and even during, every battle. At launch, each of the ten categories will contain five skills to be mastered, including a basic default skill that's available from the beginning, as well as four battle skills that players will need to learn in-game. Once a battle skill is learned, players will be able equip it for use in Pockie Ninja's anime-drenched battle showdowns.

But Pockie Ninja isn't just about learning all of the skills and becoming the strongest ninja in the land. Players will need to choose six of their unlocked abilities before facing off against an opponent, meaning a dose of tactical and strategic thinking is required to earn success in the arenas.

Add the fact that it's the game's engine that determines when skills will be cast, rather than the players themselves, and you can see how Pockie Ninja is as much about forward-thinking as it is watching fan favourite  anime characters go toe-to-toe. However, all of the skills in the world are no match for Pockie Ninja's formidable “hidden ninjutsu” techniques, which use gorgeous animations to bring some of anime's most iconic 'special abilities' straight to your PC screen.

Pockie Ninja allows you to freely switch outfits and take on the role of your favourite anime characters as you play, which in turn unlocks their unique special abilities. Want to use the explosive power of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, or unleash the magnificent Eight Trigrams 64 Palms? You can! How about hitting your opponent with the destructive Cherry Blossom Impact? You got it!

Every character in Pockie Ninja has an exclusive “hidden ninjutsu” technique, and mastering how to use their mighty power could be the difference between an easy victory and a crushing defeat. From physical attacks to spirit concentration; from remote attacks to close combat; Pockie Ninja promises a huge variety of awesome battles while adventuring through it's exciting world.

Anime fans will feel right at home in the world of Pockie Ninja, thanks to the game incorporating some of the best known characters and special abilities from the infamous Bleach and Naruto series, including Naruto Uzumaki and his infamous Demon Fox form. No release date for Pockie Ninja has yet been revealed, but Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with all the latest details.
